From 12-15th December 2022, after a three year wait because of COVID, six Daughters of Charity from the Province of Rosalie Rendu responded to an inner call to put aside their daily routine and journey to the foot of the altar in the Mother House, Paris. It was here in 1830 that Mary, the Mother of God made her presence known to St Catherine Laboure. Representing the Province, at the foot of the altar, our six Sisters placed the cares and concerns of our troubled world , our province and the needs of those who have asked for prayers before the Mother of God. Back home each Sister was given a liturgy booklet so that we could join in the pilgrimage each day with specially prepared morning and evening prayers. A special highlight of the pilgrimage was a visit to the grave of Blessed Rosalie Rendu in Montparnasse Cemetery where flowers were placed representing each Daughter of Charity local community in Great Britain and Australia belonging to the Province.
